Description - Constant bandwidth electronic laser detector

Application - For use with rotating laser instruments with visible lasers.

Benefits - Allows detection of laser beam in outdoor environments.

Features - Audio and visual high/low indicators, LED 'ON' indicator, viewing window on front & reverse, low battery indicator, auto power off, fine or coarse setting, silent mode, integrated clamp fits onto standard RedStar RSS3 (3m) or RSS5 (5m) Graduated Staffs or can be fitted to guaged timber.

Q. Do I need a detector?

A. Yes, if you are using either the LasertTech GS50 or LaserTech GS100 in auto rotating mode outdoors. (All of these products are supplied complete with a detector) On slow rotating speeds the GS50 & GS100 are ideal inside for setting reference lines around a room and the detector is not required.

Will the detector work on a stationary beam?

No, nor will any other manufacturer's detectors as they are designed to detect a moving beam.

What area will the detector cover?

A.
The detector is guaranteed to 200m radius, however it has been tested to 400m (subject to prevailing atmospheric conditions)

Q. Will the detector work in direct sunlight?

A.
Yes, the detector will work in direct sunlight, but in situations where the sun is very low in the sky it may be necessary to either set the instrument up so the detector is facing away from the direct line of the sun or alternatively the user may shade the detector with their body.
